Another one bites the dust!

Another essay done! I really hate writing. Its just not my thing. I can study all day but writing is just doesn't flow out of me. 1,000 word paper took me like 8 hrs. That is crazy. Hopfully with practice I can become a better writer.

Essay 2, violence in video games

My freedom of speech essay is due in a week. Yikes! I've narrowed it down to violence in video games. I feel that I can relate to this topic most because I have a 6 year old son who loves playing video games. I do believe that violence in video games will cause some type of agression especially among boys. Children are like little sponge's they enjoy immitating what they hear and see. Honestly an interactive violent game has to have an effect. How do some people not see that? Imagine you are a kid again and you are playing a action pack killing game. Dont tell me that once you put down that controller your state of mind is just going to snap back into reality. And that is not to say that only violent games make children agressive. I know my son tends to get extememly angry and fustrated even when he plays mario and is losing. I've had to tell him more than a couple of times to "put the game away if it is making you upset." Kids just get so tangled up in gaming.

Freedom of speech

This morning I've been researching the topic "freedom of speech" It seems that most of the sites I've looked at feel as though they do not really have freedom of speech. Particularly when it comes to music and movies. These sites are trying to make sence of the first amendment and some are putting a twist on it. I feel that freedom of speech should be based on respect for your fellow american. Dont say or do things that you wouldn't want to be said or done to you, your friends. or your family.

It is almost due.

My essay has finally took off! I have one more week till it is due. It is crunch time. only 585 more words to go. I cant wait till this is turned in and over with. I'm so sick of reading about universal healthcare. Now I will have a paper with my own thoughts and somebody else will read what I have to say!

Should The government help people?

This is the topic for my first essay in my english 101 class. I'm feeling a little aggravated. This is such a broad topic and I dont know which direction to take it. I guess I just cant make up my mind on any one topic. I dont feel strong against or for anything. I always see both sides equally. No matter what there is going to be those people out there that take advantage of HELP. It is just wrong that because of those rotten few we are so willing to say just dont help anybody.

Universal Healthcare. Wow watch out! Ask anybody about the subject and you will get yourself into a heated debate. The people I've mentioned the question of universal healthcare to have had strong feelings about the subject. Most people seem to either be 100% for it or 100% against it for a number of different reasons. I have yet to talk to anybody who falls in the gray area like myself. Its been interesting conversation to say the least. I found myself trying to make the individual see the other side, but mostly it was like talking to a wall. I'm curious to see if I talk to somebody who will prosuade me in their direction!
